My 'n'take on advertising...put aside the drab cliched answers: express yourself; creating awareness to incite brand loyalty, etc, etc, and you're left with a blank slate. What does that tell you? Ironic how advertising has advertised itself to you leaving you with no individual perception other than what it advertises itself as. That to me is advertising: building a presence so strong, that previous conceptions are replaced by what you want it to be, thus, leading your brand to enjoy top-of-the-mind recall.
The next obvious question: how?
Bringing into play a bit of marketing jargon, a pioneer product enjoying a first mover advantage soon becomes obsolete if it ceases to re-invent itself. That's where people like me come in: to me, the sure shot success step to create sustainable recall in the market lies in what I call the 4 Step Process for an advertising campaign:
Step One: Create curiousity [Teasers]
Step Two: Bring in with a Bang [Revealing Interactive, Innovative Promotional Activities & Ads]
Step Three: Deliver the Declaration [Customer Feedback Procedure]
Step Four: Envision Innovation [Unique Projected Personality Ads]
I walk by hoardings, etc. on a daily basis and typical to the creative spirit but terrible to my nature always imagine different ways the message could be portrayed.
Here are some of my insights into advertising illustrated by what I'd like to call IDIOSYNCRATIC ART
